‘Sunset Meadow’ pub painting

Hi everyone! 😊 My latest UnicornPostbox blog post is progression photos of an amateur ‘Sunset Meadow’ themed pub painting 🎨 Hope you enjoy! πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Firstly, we loosely painted the top of the canvas pure white, so that the yellow and pink sunset tones would prettily blend. We distinguished with a bold green πŸ’š curve where the meadow would begin below. To give a 3D effect, the what would be flower rows were likewise curved. This was the most difficult part of the entire painting, getting the proportions right from distant to front. Different sized brown blobs reminded me of ‘Digglet’ from the Pokemon franchise, until they were defined into windmills, with white shade points. I decided on an array of colours for the sunset tulips; red, light pink, dark pink, dark blue, light blue, yellow, white and orange. This part was very expressive, freely dabbing the bottom and dotting the top. A very enjoyable evening πŸ₯°πŸ₯° And here is the finished piece:

Thank you as always for taking the time to read / view πŸ’•

The next pub painting is a ‘Wonky Donkey’ in August, that should be fun 😁 but I am also on with a night sky crescent moon diamond art πŸŽ¨πŸ’Ž and I would also like to do a portrait (I haven’t done one in so long!) of Keane Reeves, I think he’s such an inspirational person ❀️❀️.. so watch this space 😜

Much love, thank you, Lauren xx

Valentine’s Day amateur couple portrait

Hi everyone! My latest UnicornPostbox blog post is progression photos of an amateur portrait of me and my boyfriend Aaron, as a surprise gift to him for Valentine’s Day.. hope you like! ❀️❀️

I used a light box (cheat lol) to outline me and Aaron. I drew with Derwent professional sketching pencils, mainly HB and 2B. To keep with the Valentines theme, I incorporated red love hearts, made bold with a black promarker pen, I also drew a black line around me and Aaron, to make the images ‘pop’ (I’m a big fan of pop art). To finish, a professional blue colour marker pen coloured the entire background. I also purchased a lovely red frame to display…And here is the end result:

I took me a few days to complete, which isn’t too bad to be fair ❀️❀️

I am advertising if anyone else would like an amateur couple portrait, to put towards my fundraising for Alzheimer’s Research (I am doing a Tough Mudder in the summer in memory of my beautiful mum who sadly lost her long battle with this awful disease) 😒

My next blog post is a travel blog of mine and Aaron’s first Valentine’s weekend in Sheffield πŸ’•πŸ’•

There is a new Easter bunny themed pub painting in March, and no doubt I’ll soon be on with another diamond art πŸ’ŽπŸŽ¨

Thank you as ever for viewing/reading. Much love, Lauren xx

‘Mama and baby elephant’ diamond art

Hi everyone! My latest blog post is progression photos of a mama and baby elephant diamond art… hope you enjoy! πŸ˜„

This diamond art took me a few weeks to complete. They are very time-consuming, all the individual beads to stick, however it is so therapeutic. Put some music on, and I’m in my element. I have purchased a new diamond art of a magical, colourful ‘tree of life’, so that’ll be fun to get going! πŸ˜€

And here is the finished piece! 🐘🐘

Thank you as always for taking the time to read/view! πŸ’•πŸ’•

Now we’re in summer, expect some more upcycled furniture for the Children’s Air Ambulance store! I’ve got a new pub painting at the beginning of August too..so watch this space 😜😜

Much love, Lauren xx

‘Flowery meadow’ amateur acrylic painting

Hello everyone! My latest UnicornPostbox blog post is progression photos of an amateur flowery meadow pub painting, enjoy! πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

The first step was to paint dark emerald green at the bottom and fade it going up. We then incorporated blues and purples for the sunset sky. Prominent green leaves were added, then purple perennials, white daisies, scarlet poppies and fluorescent pink flowers. To give a 3D effect, the flowers lessened in size going up, then little dots, to give the illusion of fading away into the distance…and here is the finished piece:

As always, artist Rebecca guided us through the entire process. I actually think this one is the most effective ones we have done. It looked quite difficult at first, I thought it was maybe too tricky to achieve – however it all went surprisingly smoothly, and I am over the moon with the result! πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Thank you as always for reading/viewing πŸ₯° Catch you soon. Much love, Lauren xx
