‘Me and You’ diamond art

Hi everyone 😘 My latest UnicornPostbox blog post is progression photos of a diamond art of me and my boyfriend Aaron ❤️ Hope you like! 💕

Looking back at the progression photos 📸 you can sort of tell they were taken at different times of day, with different lighting! A tad orange in some 🧡 Mr David Dickinson and his little oompa loompa almost, ha!… Kind of impossible to lose the ‘orangeness’ altogether…Nevertheless, here is the finished diamond art, unframed and framed:

Aaron bought this diamond art for me off of Amazon for Christmas 2024, 🎄 the day we actually became a couple 😍 (It’s taken me quite a while to get round to it!) Definitely a meaningful, sentimental project 💕 It reminds me a bit of a Monet painting, a bit abstract and blurry up close, but we become more recognisable from a distance 😀

For my next blog post, it’ll be a travel description of mine and my grandma’s Llandudno holiday! I’m so looking forward to it ☺️ So, watch this space!

Sentimental ‘Those We Love’ diamond art

Hi everyone! My latest UnicornPostbox blog post is progression photos of a sentimental ‘Those We Love’ diamond art 💎🎨.. hope you enjoy!

This one is really special because I am going to frame it with a pink frame and leave by my mum’s gravestone.. she unfortunately passed away last year after a long battle with early onset Alzheimer’s 🩷🩷

I think it is really pretty, with gorgeous flowers and beautiful butterflies 💐🦋

I have so many diamond arts to do! I was bought loads for Christmas 🎄 A colourful eye one, an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ a unicorn, a moon/night sky, a personalised one of me and my boyfriend, etc..

Next on the agenda however, I am at pub painting tomorrow with my lovely friend Denise. It is a Valentines day special, ‘paint your pal or partner’ 🩷🩷 Obviously we are doing paint your pal lol..

I think it will be really fun as it’s not the normal format with Becca the art teacher guiding us step by step.. it is more of a do what you want go wild exercise 🤣🤣

We are going to go all abstract and have fun with it!  I can’t wait! 😁😁

So yes, look out for the next blog post coming very soon…

‘Gentle Joan’ amateur portrait drawing of family friend

Hello again everybody! The latest UnicornPostbox blog post is progression photos of a now unfortunately deceased family friend, Joan 💙💙

I increased the size of a standard photo at the library, to A3 size. I then used my A3 light box to outline Joan on paper. Working from photographs, I carefully sketched and shaded.. I also incorporated some paw prints, with a purple border – Joan absolutely adored dogs, they were her life 💜💜

Joan was my mum’s best friend who unfortunately died suddenly three years ago 😢 She was an incredible kind woman, and helped me so much when I was looking after mum, she was a god send 💕 I’ve kept in touch with Joan’s husband Merv, and visit him regularly, this is who the portrait is for.. He has a bullmastiff Spencer, who mum loved, and I always say to mum I gave Spencer a big kiss from his Auntie Debbie 💕

Merv was very happy with the portrait 😊 I am only an amateur and I know I’m not the best in the world, but I think I am improving with practice..and it’s the sentimental value too isn’t it..
